on tv? The Duggars I believe. I was in complete awe when I saw them building their own 7000 sqaure foot home by themselves! I can't even imagine how much it cost. They bought 2 metal kits and put them together. It has 2 kitchens! I think the show gave them furnishings. But they said they paid for everything as they went----NO MORTGAGE! No debts of any kind. The dad is a real estate and mom stays at home and home schools the 16 kids. They spend about $2000 on groceries per month. The shows are very interesting. I especially liked "16 children and moving in" to see the 3 year process of building their home--- it's gorgeous. I keep thinking, if they can be debt free with 18 people and 1 income~ dh and I can do it with 4 people and 2 incomes!
Anyone else see it? Nicki

I have seen them before on TV.
Oh yes, I have definitely seen it! I saw their last show too, "14 children and pregnant again" I think is what it was called. I think they are amazing and am "awe struck" by how they do it, not just financially but physically and mentally as well. They seem to be so patient and so organized. You notice though that they don't have alot of things that most kids have nowadays though (game systems, tv, computer, etc). I have to be honest, I really look up to them and just like you said "if they can do it, then so can we".
There new home is beautiful. Can you just imagine? The possibilities are endless if we'd only get our butt in gear and quit making so many financial mistakes.

Oh, I was thinking about this again today...
