Attention to detail

I want to challenge the board this weekend to pick one or two things to pay detailed attention to. The point is to stop, focus, slow down, review, investigate, discover....for the purpose of helping you with your debt journey, look at one or two things that you can benefit from or learn from somehow to help as a baby step towards your debt-free goal or even your emergency fund goal.
Will you review your checking account registers and statements in detail to see where the money went or if it is in balance? Or count up fees you have been paying unecessarily?
Will you look carefully at your credit card statements for the last 3 months to see what your debt total really is?
Will you walk around your house to see if you have a few items to sell?
Will you revamp your budget or just a few items on it? Or will you set one up for the first time?
Will you decide you are sick of the debt and enjoy the weekend itself as a time to relax and renew and self-focus, and then jump back into dealing with debt on Monday? (You ARE ALLOWED!!!!)
What will you do?
Good luck! Littlesbigs

I will probably revamp my budget. I have recently paid off one cc and one other debt so it's time to go over the budget again, but I will probably do that today instead of this weekend, b/c this weekend I'm taking a break from it all! lol Everything else I pretty much have done or do now.

All my best,

I am starting to think I am obsessed with my debt - I just sold a microwave I didn't need, I check my checking account daily to make sure every cent is correct, and I adjust my budget every payday. I think for me I need to CALM DOWN :)
I did learn from my recent vacation that while away, I tracked every cent spent and knew exactly where I stood. I don't do that when I am home. I try to stick within the budget and thats it. This weekend I am going to track everything I spend - coffee at Dunkin Donuts, etc., and decide where else I can trim some money to snowflake. I just rewarded myself with a little vacation so I don't need to splurge again this weekend! I will allow myself to pick up some fun items at the grocery store instead of just the healthy things I need. Great question!
I've just spent the last week completely Spring Cleaning the upstairs of my house. I've made two trips to the dump and two trips to Goodwill, always with the entire back of my SUV filled with bags and boxes of stuff to get rid of. This has truly taught me just how much junk I had hidden in closets, under beds, in every nook and cranny of my house. At this point, I dread the thought of going near any store because if I bring it home, I'm going to have to clean it out again one day. LOL! :-D
So I'll be spending this weekend focusing on family and enjoying my efforts of the last week. Then, on Monday evening, I'll be starting on the downstairs and my trips to the dump and Goodwill will begin again. LOL :-D
I can't wait for all this Spring Cleaning to be finished :-D
Pat :-D
I think I'll continue with a grocery project I started a few weeks ago.
Okay.
