Monica,
You can probably search around and find someone on the web that will share an Excel spreadsheet with you but I don't have a link for you.

I wanted to mention that I bought the most basic Quicken for $15 including shipping from eBay. I know it sounds counterintuitive to spend money to save money but I really believe it has done just that. The ability for me to play with my monthly bills and spending money and see it graphed led me to understand just how much difference $25 more in spending every paycheck would make in my ability to keep my head above water month after month. I just went out there and there are lots on there without bids even so you may do even better than I did.

Hello,

Here is a budget calculator that gives you percentages for different areas in your budget:
http://www.goodmortgage.com/calc_budget.htm

Of course, there is a "debt" category that says 5-10%. Boy wouldn't it be nice to simply eliminate that one!

Here's a great resource on MotleyFool.com about budgeting, with links to calculators and tracking systems.

I think MSN Money has that. I have an excel spreadsheet that I use, and it works really good!
