I had a good weekend. I spent cash and debit carded. Yay!
I did stop in a store I like and look at clothes....trying to justify it by saying I had a 50% off coupon, BUT I didn't like anything that much that I wanted to spend my cash, so I bought nothing, and that's OKAY. (oh, I know I was BAD............but, I was happy that good sense prevailed.)
I was offered a laptop computer today at work, BUT the trade off was that I had to work at least 2 extra hours a week AT HOME if I took it. I could not use it as I wanted to, so I said no. I am the only one on the team without a laptop, but I do not have the unpaid time to give. They didn't offer career training on it (even on my own time)or any other incentives to make me want it. There is a loaner machine if I really need one. I just don't have 2 unpaid hours to give them. I don't want home and work to mix that much. They said I could not even do a real work at home day except for once a quarter. Nope. Does not work for me.
I want a laptop, but I want my own for home and personal travel.
Not much going on to drop down the debt right now. Just waiting to be paid again and trying not to add to the debt. Some days that is all I can do. Some days are not about debt, and that's okay.
Chores and the gym tonight!
Best wishes, Littlesbigs

Hello Littlesbigs,
Congratulations on controlling yourself in the clothing store. I often "window shop" without spending anything in a store, just to get that shopping urge to fade. There's nothing wrong with walking out if nothing appeals to you! Cheaper too. =)
Regarding the laptop, I would expect to be paid for those hours if the laptop comes with 2 hours of extra work from home! Are you on a salary?
Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke
