I got a credit card bill in the mail today, and it just looked like I am not making any progress at all paying it down. I will keep not spending/charging however...not going to let it get me messed up....don't want to do that. Not worth it. I just have to see it thru. I'm at a point like a diet plateau. It stinks, but I have to just stay on course. Anyone want to just hang in there with me? It'll be awhile, but I think I'll just keep TRYING!
TIME is becoming as precious as money to me. No time, no money...... So much to do.....
I was told yesterday I have to work 6AM Saturday morning......no extra pay........STINKS!
I am hoping to take a daytrip soon to break the routine and monotony here. It will be about $75 for the day, but I think it is worth it. I have to save for it....will be making little sacrifices for it. A couple fewer tea and cookie runs in the afternoon, for example.....a couple magazines not bought.....eat what is in the house instead of buying something else at the grocery store(like I did today1).....canned food at home won't kill me..... Really want to go!
Spring is here! I am enjoying the weather....can't buy that! Went for a lovely walk at lunch today...
I am just going to hang in there for now. Try to just stay in control. Plan, budget, reuse, recycle, appreciate and enjoy what I already have.......
Have a great evening! Littlesbigs

Hey girl!
Hello,
I keep a list of my balances each month (and total them up) so I can see the difference. It may be just $5 lower, but it's *still* progress! I keep the sheet in my franklin covey planner
I do it this way: (four columns)
Date --- Debt Name --- Balance --- Minimum Payment
-sometimes I only see a difference in the minimum payment, (which is a snowflake available right there!) but not in the balance, because I've transferred something.
Here are my (estimated) numbers for April 2006:
Mortgage: $87,628 - min payment $826
CC #1: $11,712 - min payment $175
CC #2: $ 9,900 - min payment $99
CC #3: $ 8,815 - min payment $177
CC #4: $ 3,430 - min payment $68
CC #5: $ 2,745 - min payment $58
CC #6: PAID OFF - Add to $229 Snowball
-------------------
Total Debt: $112,518
CC Debt: $36,602
Total Min Payment: $1430
Total CC Min Payment: $577
I keep a sheet for each month and compare them to see the difference in the balances. It's heartening to see the minimum payment go down, because then I know I can snowball the difference to the next debt!
Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke

Hi! I have 3 large debt items so it is easy to track them. It will be a while before I feel like I see a real difference, but I will just keep working towards zero debt....a long road, to be sure, but WORTH IT!
