My mother works for United Airlines, and I just recently began babysitting for a co-worker of hers.

Sorry about your Mom's summer plans being ruined. Will she still receive a severance package if they leave the office open until Labor Day? Could she visit her friends in the Fall? It should still be pretty warm in Florida. We went to Orlando in late August/early September of last year, and we were able to wear shorts and go swimming. :-D

I think the consolidation loan is a good idea. Cutting your interest from 22% down to 17% is definitely a nice savings. :-D

Hello,

Congratulations on lowering your overall interest rate with the consolidation loan. Will your minimum payment be lower with the loan than it was with the separate high interest accounts? If so, you have an automatic snowball.. woohoo!

Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke

Hi, Aravis. Hey, congrats on your consolidation. That should bring some relief. On your mother's vacation plans---would it be cheaper to get a flight/vacation after labor day when the kids are back in school, and when summer winds down? Fla. would still be hot and maybe they could throw in a vacation deal--no crowds, more fun, etc.? WHiz.
