I just woke up...the computer was still on...I went to lie on the couch last night for a few minutes while I was waiting for something to get loaded on the computer, and I fell asleep for the rest of the night.....My sleep pattern is off this week. I had to go into work much earier than usual every day, and I was suppoesd to work this morning (again I say:with no extra pay!) , but it turns out I don't have to now. It was karma. I didn't want to. I think I may have willed it to not happen, ha,ha! The projects I am working on are all falling behind schedule, and that's all before they get to MY PART! So, I woke up and am HERE 6AM instead....much better! Today is the day I do the taxes!!! A day much better spent on myself!

I went shopping for groceries last night, and I got a couple magazines, too. I have to get a haircut today and I'll go out for my Saturday date with my SO, so that's it for spending this weekend....except for paying the rent, of course!

I am going to TRY to put as much as I can into my Roth IRA this week before the 2005 deadline. I am trying to figure out how to come up with money for the 2006 Roth IRA. A challenge........But for the 2005 amount, I am using some emergency fund money and emptying 2 other accounts, so I'm not going to have much of a "cushion" for the next couple of months.....not that I had that much, but my old age is important to me! I want to be able to retire with a decent nest egg....gotta build it.

I'm taking a day off from work this week....I am going on a daytrip.....I need to break the routine!!!

I came close to the vicinity of the mall yesterday, was tempted to go in, but I didn't. I reminded myself of all the other things I had to use my money for. It helped me to drive right by.

I just want a slow-paced day. I hope I can get it this weekend.

Have a great Saturday! Your April Fool, Littlesbigs

Good for you -- for sure we will be on our own to provide for our "old age" -- can't put age or saving for it off. Hard to do sometimes tho -- soooooooooo many other places to put the money.

Congrats on going BY the mall instead of into it.
