I'm still up...having a lovely long evening, part spent laughing with SO, the other part spent enjoying time to myself. Tomorrow: CHORES! TAXES! Oh, boy.....
I spent A LOT of money on my hair today....CASH. Now I am ready to go to job interviews (and look younger), and I just feel good. It was worth it. Now I am "broke" until the next paycheck, but I am prepared. Bills are paid, food in the cupboards. All set.
SO and I discussed seriously tonight about buying a condo or house in the future, maybe in 2 years. SO MUCH to consider about this. A LOT OF WORK TO DO to prepare for this.....like both of us paying off our credit cards....but I think with both of us seeing a common goal that we can do it. It will take time, but I think it can happen......watch now how fast 2 years will go by! We have decided during this time to also LEARN as much as we can about the whole home buying thing........
I really am feeling quite adverse to using my credit cards. This feels great! I just want to pay them off. It will take some time, but I can see it will happen eventually. I just have to keep at it......
Have a great Sunday! Littlesbigs, future homeowner!
PS....Right now I'm leaning more towards a condo......

Hello Littlesbigs,
Congratulations on setting such a great goal: buying a house or condo
Now, you can set up the babysteps for getting to that goal:
1) Set up emergency fund of $1000
2) Pay off credit cards
3) Pay off loans
4) Save up 20% downpayment
5) If possible, pay for house / condo with cash, but if not possible, finance mortgage for 15 years fixed, with a payment no more than 25% of your income.
6) Move in and start saving up for the furniture & decorations you'd like to buy. =)
Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke
