I'm so sorry you are in this position. I'm glad you are going to meet with an attorney, they will be able to advise you as to your best approach. I'm a paralegal and used to do family law but I live in PA and things are so different in every state. Your husband should definitely petition for visitation even if it is only a few weeks during the summer months. I'm sure it is hard on him not having a relationship with his children. I wish you luck. Things always have a way of working out.
Hi, Aravis---well, I wanted to give you a big hug, and I am saddened to hear of these visitation/alimony troubles. Here's hoping your DH will get to visit his kids more often. I honestly dont know how those financial bean-counters can come up with this crazy amount of $300 weekly. Did you decide to take a P.T. gig? Are you taking classes this summer? You have been a breath of fresh air here with your encouraging, positive posts, and a big support for my skin trials---I just know something good will come to you, as you have a good heart. WIth hugs, Whiz.
Hey, Aravis---Saw this article about "virtual visitation rights". Is law in Utah and Wisconsin (recently passed). Talked about what was needed--Webcam, IM, parental guidance, pros/cons, challenges with technology (mostly overcome), and still, the need for face-to-face visits. Interviewed users, how they liked it, etc. Might be something your DH could use? Some state legislatures are mulling over this to expand visitation custody rights. Whiz.

Complicated is right!
Well, no matter how I squeeze the budget, we are at least $600 short each month.
Dear Aravis,
Just sending you a whole bunch of HUGS!!! I hope everything works out okay for you and your family.
Best wishes,
Littlesbigs
Thanks for the hugs!
Whiz, the virtual visitation thing sounds neat!
