Well I did it!! I avoided Target all of March and feel like I have some control over it. I did have to go 2 times for preplanned trips because they have some dairy free products that no one else around here has(kids are lactose intolerant) but I got in, got my stuff and got out....I was so desperate to go at the beginning of the month that I actually RETURNED stuff and made $50 off the whole deal;-) Now that is a love affair.

How did everyone else do? The one thing I noticed is that I was much more able to stay on budget because those little sneaky things weren't jumping into my cart. So even though I had major surgery last week andblew through the "extra"money I had set aside we are still doing okay.

I have got control!!

I was tempted a few times to visit walmart, but I avoided it. I stuck to the Mom & Pop local stores for all my Springtime flowers and yard needs, and I had wanted to replace the outdoor table we have on our deck (metal with glass top, rusted, and repainted so many times that it's just awful looking now), and I had considered going to Walmart, but I ended up finding a nice plastic table (that the legs come off of so I can bring it inside during our many Springtime storms and tornado warnings) at my local Eckerd Drug Store! LOL! It was under $20, and it was the right color and size. :-D

I wonder how long I can avoid shopping at Walmart. If I managed to do it for a month, I should test myself and see if I can avoid it for the month of April also. :-D

pat :-D

I had no big problems, and I even found myself in the trigger store when a friend that I was spending the day with had to run in.
