I AM SO DEPRESSED. I KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE HAPPY DANCE IS OVER.
MY CAR DIED TONIGHT..................I am safe and totally fine, but now I have to pay for car repairs tomorrow morning....heaven knows how much.....there goes the rest of the tax refund I was expecting......There goes all the progress I made on this debt journey to this point...........
And this is not the TOTAL of the tragedy......I am supposed to go to work at 6AM tomorrow, you know, the UNPAID work day????? NO, I AM NOT GOING TO PAY FOR A CAB TO TAKE ME TO WORK.................No, I am not asking my SO to drive me in at such an ungodly hour in the dark(because I am not being paid extra for this)............I am SO UPSET!!!! I don't have a backup person, and no one knows what I am doing, so no one can check my work for me.......so there will be heck to pay....and did I say I am not being paid for this????????????
I am SO UPSET.
Maybe things will look better in the morning. One of the supervisors already knows I'm not going to be in, and she's okay with it.....this is the WORST time for this to happen..................
I enjoyed the happy dance while it lasted. Too bad it didn't last longer.

So sorry Littles,
I literally just finished reading your "Happy Dance" post. I guess it's a blessing that you have the tax money to apply to the car repairs, I've BTDT so many times. And it does usually happen to us when we just get extra $$ into our hands--I can just about count on it. Maybe you'll get lucky and the repair won't be as much as you think. Sorry about work tomorrow--bright side, at least you weren't getting paid for it :). I know you'll have to play catch up later but it'll get done. Maybe you'll feel better in the morning, sorry again. Time to count blessings and cut losses I guess. GL
HUGS!
Oh, littlesbigs, I'm so sorry! What a crummy thing to happen, and just when you were feeling like things were coming together.
I know the same feeling--like last summer when I had almost $4000 in my business account that would have come back to us at tax time because we ended up not owing taxes at all. But I had to spend it on a new air conditioner!
And then Grandma's $5000 that we thought was going to get us out of debt this year and then we found out we're pregnant and (by the way) the midwife charges twice what she did five years ago! LOL
Okay, so you didn't really want to hear my woes. Hang in there. I'm hoping for you that the repairs are something easy and cheap. And quick.
Good luck with the work thing. They *ought* to be understanding!
Blessings,
Heather

I just wanted to say I am sorry and hopefully this morning brought peace and clarity on the situation.
