Hello,
I have not read any of the answers to my "Saturday early morning" post yet......I'll be reading and answering later this evening....I am in cleaning mode....it is not fun...I thought I'd take a break and write about how I absolutely BLEW it this weekend......
Well, Maybe I didn't.............
I feel like I did.............
I am back at SQUARE ONE. I think I erased all my progress from the beginning of March when I make a big chart and promises to myself to NOT SPEND....I was looking down the coming summer and trying to work out how to get by okay, and I sort of made a plan, and now I am thinking I'll continue with the plan. I may be behind, or actuially back to where I was....well, no point in giving up!!!!!!!!!!!
The car repair set me back, and then I was out this weekend, and I went to craft festival, and I spent NOTHING. I loved a lot of what I saw, but I just didn't have that urge to buy anything even with cash in my pocket. (was so proud of myself!) BUT then we went to my TRIGGER STORE.......I spent $64 on craft supplies, then I decided to pay for the craft weekend in the summer that I've planning on for a long time......I charged everything.....a couple hundred dollars!!! I think at some point I'll be getting the rest of my tax refund which I will use for some of that and some of the car repair bill back. I can't sit home the whole summer and do nothing(I do deserve a real VACATION ONE DAY!), but just pulling out the credit card was not good. Then yesterday, I still had the cash left in my pocket, and I was in a family situation where I had to shell out some money to help someone, and then she had the nerve to try to get me to give her more....Story is that she wanted some new clothes, I needed pants...I found no pants, but I was nice and said I would buy an inexpensive outfit for her...then she said, "I know you like my purse, so if you buy me a new one you can have it".....but I indicated I didn't want to....there was nothing wrong with the purse, it was only a couple months old, she said she was just "done with it"....Well, I can't afford for her to be done with a purse.......I wasn't there to buy a purse for anyone...... Her kids needed something, too, which was inexpensive, so I was nice and bought what they needed (about $15)...so I don't need to spend more............NEXT TIME THE CREDIT CARD STAYS HOME!!!!!!!
Well, gotta keep cleaning. It is a disater in here. Always looks worse before it gets better. Can't find much to throw out yet.
I am taking a half day off from work today to clean...........am I crazy? I did not get anything done this weekend. I have a lot of nice stuff and a lot of junk.
A bit confused, a bit aggrivated, a bit bewildered, quite a bit behind, but still Littlesbigs................

Hello littlesbigs,
You have been doing so well with reducing your spending, that I understand your disappointment. Perhaps you could cut up your credit card or leave it at home when going out, so that only your cash can be spent.
Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke
