It all evens out I guess

I was getting a bit down last night because although I've made progress on bills, I have also incurred new ones but I must realize that health and utilities are bills that will happen no matter what! So, for new bills I owe $380 to the eye doctor and $700 to the gas company (payment plan established - I owed from my old place that was SO EXPENSIVE. Thats why I moved) I also need to pay $500 to get insurance here on my vehicle (moved from NY to MA a year ago!) I was getting frustrated until I realized that my rent is $275 less per month and my utilities are about $200 less. So even though I have some new bills, I talked myself into the idea that all is still moving foward. Plus, I've paid down $907 on my credit card and unsecured loan debt since January 06! That doesn't count the truck payment or student loans so everything that counts toward the fico and debt is on the right track. So almost $1000 lower in 4 months is a success afterall! My milestone!

Hello,

Don't let the turkeys (bills) get you down. True, they keep coming in, but if you are directing your money toward paying those bills, paying off debt, and saving a little on the side, you are doing well! You have a (payment) plan to pay down that gas bill and your credit card debt is going down. Those are definitely successes!

Incoming bills are a fact of life. They don't stop coming, but they aren't personal slights. =)

Remember, you are not your debt!

Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke

Good point and a good reminder! I feel like i did do what I could - I moved from a too expensive place. I guess of course it will take me a little while to catch up. Thank you!
