Finally made a decision

I have made a big decision for me. I have decided to seriously start to look for another job. I can't continue to work at a place that literally has my stomach in knots the minute I walk in. This decision has really got me to take a SERIOUS look at how to reduce my debt. Of course it wouldn't be immediate but I have given myself a six month time frame. I am not the type of person that accepts change very easy so this is a HUGE step. Tomorrow is the day that I will sit down and crunch the numbers. I'm ready to get started! :)

KRG-

That is great!! Even a 6 month window has a light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe you will be able to deal with MsCrabby a little better since you know every time may be your last;-) Are you going to stay in your small town or are you going to move onto another area?

Sounds like you ave a good plan for implementation...carry on!

Congratulations on making such a big decision...sometimes that is the hardest part. i know that i agonize over certain decisions, but things usually turn out ok once the decision part is behind me and the energy can then go towards research.
I think six months is a really good time frame, too. Good luck with the search!

I will stay in my town. My whole family is here and I am helping my mom raise my niece and nephew. My mom has had custody of them for 12 years. I'll take your advice on Ms. Crabby. :) We have another girl that may be leaving. Ms. Crabby found out and went over to her and said "Are you leaving because of me?" Apparently someone must have told her how everyone thinks she's a bully. I feel like a weight has been lifted off since I made my decision. I've only had two jobs in my adult life. One for 6 years and this one for 14. You can see that I'm "not flexible to change" Ha Ha. I have been told that at work many times. :) I've got my pencil and pad ready to start looking at how to get this debt paid down. Thanks to everyone for their support!

good luck with the job search, and just remember what a catch you will be to whoever your next employer is. You must have gained a lot of valuable experience which can only help to benefit their company and they will know they will have a loyal and trustworthy employee, judging by the length of time you have stayed with this one. Big yourself up, you are moving on to better things!
Good luch
