A little too late...

I wrote yesterday afternoon about how things were going to work out, and that i was going to take a leave and bring Dad home, that I finally had a plan and knew what i would do...
well, unfortunately, my plan came a little too late, as my Dad is in Heaven now, alongside the love of his life, my Mom.
I didn't get to take him to Dairy Queen one last time, but he knew that I loved him with everything I had. When I was little, i promised to build a house in his front yard and bake him cookies everyday. When I was a little older (kindergarten?), I said I would build the house in the BACK yard and bake him cookies everyday. I don't know why things happen the way they do, but i take comfort in knowing that he is in a better place.
God bless him,
Heather

Heather,
Bless you and your family as you go through this difficult time. I have no doubt that your Dad is once again with your Mom, and he's smiling so happily.

Heather, I am so sorry to hear about your father passing on. May God give you strength and peace during this trying time for you and your family. I will say a prayer for you at church this morning.
I am so glad that he knew how much you loved him. Sometimes we don't tell people often enough, and then we feel guilty when we no longer have the chance. It sounds like you were very blessed to have had the relationship you did with him.
