Hey All - let me apologize in advance if this was discussed during my vacation - don't mean to rehash an old conversation, but I was reading an online newsletter that I subscribe to, and I learned that Chase is no longer accepting more than one payment per billing cycle - effectively killing the ability to "snowball" found money immediately.

All my best,
Danni

Hmmmm.....I have not heard anything, but I usually only make one payment. I would just call them, or check online - maybe they have something stating that.

DH uses a Chase card for business and we use one for our household expenses.

Hi, Danni!!!!!!

Don't make paymnts thru the Chase website, rather do them thru your BANK ACCOUNT bill pay system. You won't be limited how many times that way. Also, you can still mail in as many payments as you want, just stinks that mailing anything is 39 cents.....Wouldn't it be great if mailing bill payemnts was free?????? That's part of the reason I do electronic payments now.

Please do check this out and let me know how you make out!

Best wishes, Littlesbigs

Hi, Danni, and welcome back from Paris--how was your trip? Anyway, to answer your Q--we have the Chase Mortgage, no probs with extra payments, we have one account center it goes to. Now with the Capital One, it is more challenging to pay extra. Not so with the Discover. I can make payments every few days (they recently liberalized this online thing). I would check out the website thoroughly, or go to the main account center. Whiz.

I have not heard of this but it wouldn't surprise me that the CC's would start doing it.

I think a LOT of people are starting to get on the snowball bandwagon.

I imagine they can limit how many payments they can receive from their own system, but not from you bank as someone else mentioned. I mean, legally, are thye even ALLOWED to limit payments coming in from something outside their website? I would think not... Interesting.

I love it, "for security reasons". So someone stole your credit card info, hacked into your account, to pay your bill???? BS I would not be suprised that Chase will only allow 1 payment through their online system. They are the same company that figures out the interest owed twice a month instead of once a month. I love my Citibank card, I can make 4 payments a month and do it all online!
