Hi, everyone. Lindsey, thanks for the push on this. Wish I had done it sooner. Easy as ABCD as the ING website suggests. Just did the online savings thing. Can only put $100/month in it for now from my checking, but it is a start, right?. I was a little hesitant about it at first, as it is not the traditional brick and mortar thing. But, after having my account "frozen" for perceived "unusual activity" and not being able to use my ATM/debit for anything for a whole weekend, I told them why I was closing my savings account, and that I got a better rate. Touche'. A very happy Whiz.

Hello Whiz,

I'm glad you have an account set up. I love using Ing. If they offered 30 year fixed or 15 year fixed mortgages, I'd refinance with them. One thing you will want to watch is how many transactions go into and out of your account. Usually it isn't a problem since most of the time people have an automatic transaction set up once or twice a month to deposit funds.

Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke

I think the max withdrawal from savings is 6 times a month and I think it's called Regulation D.

Hi, Lindsey---Gosh, didnt know there was a limit on "transactions" on savings accounts. Maybe it's why my account was on "hold" for unusual activity. Hmmm. However, never got a written notice or e-mail on this type of thing. Good to know. Whiz.
