We are getting a bid on our house...

and our agent is bringing it to us tomorrow morning!!! It is the only bid we received, I hope it's decent. There is a clause on it though, the buyer wants to run a small daycare in our house and it must be approved by the town council and zoning board first. I don't know if that would be an issue, it shouldn't be~ but you know how authority figures like to throw their weight around!! Luckily, 2 of the board members live on our street(how ironic is that?) and dh is going to talk to them first.

We don't want an arm and a leg for our house. It's just a small house in town with a tiny yard~~ but we did do a lot of remodeling to it. We would like to get enough to pay off the exsisting mortgage, 2 other loans and have a few grand in our pockets for the new house. Please keep your fingers crossed for me! Thanks! Nicki

Yippeee! I sent som eof our house karma your way and maybe it paid off. We accepted our offer officially yesterday, put in a bid on another house and they accepted it last night. Maybe this board brought us both good luck. Happy packing! Jenny

Wonderful!! I hope it's a really, really good one.

But if it's not, don't panic. When we sold our house in Iowa years ago, our first offer was crappy, so much so we thought it was a joke. But our agent encouraged us not to take offence, but to respond with a counter offer just as though we had received a reasonable offer.

And it worked! They accepted our counter offer. Granted, we took a loss on that house, but by that time we knew we were going to anyway. But we did get what turned out to be a reasonable price for that market, and we got out of the dang thing!

Good luck, and I hope you get enough money for all your needs!

Blessings,

Heather
