I am beginning to enjoy my long holiday weekend. I had a lovely evening out last night. I am going to relax at home the whole weekend...at least I am going to TRY to be home as much as I can be. I have A LOT to do, but I want to get outside, too. Our pool is opening....I'd just love to sit outside at it......too soon for me to go in yet.

I have to get ready for a job interview on Wednesday....gotta get the suit out, and I have to decide if I need to buy a new blouse for it....I think that's okay. I have the shoes and everything else. I do have to have several copies of the resume done. Also, I have to update my Monster.com resume. It is a position inside the company, but I will be making the effort for this opportunity. Please send good vibes for me!

I have tons of food in the house, and I have everything I need for a nice weekend including a tank full of gasoline. I am hoping to get motivated to clean the house for a while......

I have coupon debris all over the livingroom to clean up.... Have you noticed how many coupons are for $1 off now, and they don't double those.....and you have to buy 2 of the item, too?

I am going to keep the credit card alone this weekend.....no visitors! Really, I shouldn't be shopping at all. I have so many other things to save my money for. I keep reminding myself of that, and it helps me NOT SPEND NOW......

When I was out last night, we stopped in several stores, but they are not the stores I like that much, so it was easy to not spend anything. My friend got good deals on the things she bought, but also I am trying to toss things out, so I wasn't looking for more things to fill the house with. I did get some good ideas about decorating and furniture I may want for the future, but the first step is getting the house in order and cleaned out.

I am looking forward to taking a long, long nap this weekend and getting out the craft supplies and making something.

I think the debt journey will be on my mind this weekend, but I think I'll be able to take a "break" from it and enjoy myself..I don't think I'm going to be "working" at it really hard. I'm in a good space right now.

I hope you have a peaceful weekend and can take a break from the debt journey, too....maybe go on a different, enjoyable path that still takes you back to the main road without time lost...

Ahhh.......Just woke up a few minutes ago froma wonderful nap...the type where I wake up a bit disoriented, very rested.......where has the afternoon gone?

I may go for a second one.........

I had left the computer on, so I thought I'd stop here before I shut it off and nap again!

Here's a story from Thursday at work: Lady who sits behind me was having a problem with her bank, and I overheard the whole thing. (No privacy at work, you know how that is) She was bouncing checks left and right all of a sudden because she was not aware of the policies that the bank has for transferring money between accounts online rather than thru ATM machines or in person with a teller. It sounded like an awful mess. I felt really bad for her. I couldn't say anything, of course, but I'll say this to y'all: Be sure you have the details from your bank about how online transfers work, what the limitations are, and keep track of your balances.

Going to go back tot lie on the sofa and dream the rest of the afternoon away........

So glad you are having a good weekend!!! I always like to read your posts. You are so easy to relate and you have a positive outlook.

Weekend is good so far, did a minimal amount of shopping this morning. Used gift card, coupons, and sales only. No credit card either! Woohoo!! Bought DH two shirts, one of which I have to return because he said "well, although I like it, I don't need it that much." Wow!!! He kept the cheaper one. This is a MAJOR change for my clotheshorse of a husband. He has almost half of the closet filled with clothes, while I can claim about one fifth of the closet dedicated to my clothes. Good attitudes all around for us, and we send a bigger payment to the home equity this week.

We are having friends over for a fire in our backyard tonight, and tomorrow we go to my parents' house for supper. So we are enjoying the time together and away from the stresses of the week. Hope y'all have a great holiday weekend!!!
