Well, DH and I hit a milestone...we were blessed to receive a $5000 inheritance this month. We seriously thought about blowing it all on a vacation to Alaska, but alas, we decided to use it to pay off the last of our credit cards (even though it was a 0% interest, decided it would be best to just get rid of it). So, now our only remaining debt is our mortgage, and our 2 car loans. It feels good! We have about 2 years left on each of our car loans, but they are at 2.9% so we are just going to keep paying the regular amount monthly.

Our next thing we are working on is expanding our family...we are still TTC and are also investigating some international adoption options if TTC doesn't work by the end of the year.

Anyways, just wanted to say thanks to all of your for supporting me and everyone as we work through our debt. I will probably still lurk on this board for inspiration.

Best of luck to everyone!

Congrats on paying off the credit cards!!! You may still want to pay a bit more on one of the cars each month to pay it off faster, that will save the interest and will free up some of your money each month. Good luck with the adoption!!!!

Hello,

Congratulations on paying off the credit card! Will you be cancelling it? Personally, I hate car and mortgage payments and would be working hard to pay them off next, regardless of the interest rate. =)

Sincerely,
