at wits end....part 2

Hello~ If anyone remembers my first post~ my puppy is doing great now. He had a bad staff infection. His neck is shaved the whole around and looks so funny!! That bill was $291.
DH's company is cutting hours this month, so NO overtime. This is after I went to 3 instead of 4 waitressing days/week for the summer. I wanted to have my weekends off to go to camp(35 minutes away). We had to drive separate so I could leave early Sunday morning for work. I never made money anyway because everyone else was out enjoying the day! I can always go back if I have to.
Well, we were building a house this summer/fall. I have never been so stressed! The bank is waiting for our transfered deed to start the paperwork~ but our lawyer has it still. Today we find out that since city sewage isn't coming thru until next June, we need a permit NOW for our temp septic tank! And we need a contract signed by a septic disposal company before they will give us the permit. I'm not a math wizard, but it's 17 cents a gallon to empty~ we have a 1000 gallon temp tank and the average family uses about 200 gallons of water per day. It would need emptied about 6 times per month which totals $1020!!!! A month! Even if we cut back to half of that $500 is still too much. It would have to be done for about a year.
So we decided to wait(again) to build until the sewage is done. (We've only changed our mind umpteen times on this) We won't have to spend $1800 on the temp tank or the $1020 each month. We are disappointed but see no other way. We will lose the $500 for the prints. At least the deed and survey should be done by then-HA! I swear our surveyer has no brain cells.
If our house sells we will just rent. It will be one stress gone knowing the house is sold. At least we can save some more money. I really didn't have as much as I wanted anyway for the downpayment and dh's hours are cut so....maybe it's for the best.
Thanks for listening to the rambling again....Nicki

Hello Nicki,
I understand your disappointment at having to push back the house-building, but $1020 a month for emptying a temporary septic
Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke
