Once again, let's have a positivity challenge!
Great idea Aravis...you are doing so well...keep up the good work!
Positives - have cash set aside for our mini get a way...planned for in advance; getting our debt down only 11 mths to go; eating at home which is easy on the budget & waistline; DH is seeing the light he is getting used to my standard reply to his WANTS "next year"!
Have a good day!

Cindylee, too funny!
We are leaving for Florida in 11 days, and we are paying cash for the trip.
Our stove is dying, but we will have enough to pay cash for a new one this summer. This will be the 4th appliance we've paid cash for (the others being a dryer, a washer, and a water softener). I'm looking forward to getting covered burners and electronic ignition. Not having a pilot light on all of the time has got to save us something on our gas bill, right?
I hope to have two student loans paid off by the end of the summer. I'll keep you posted on that one :)
We are $68 away from being under 36K on our CC debt.

To try and remain positive:
I won 2 free tickets to see any show with the Virginia Stage Company. Prize has a $70 value and I never been to see one of their shows so I am excited about that.
Positives:
1) By living frugally, we are sending over $1000 each month as snowflakes toward debt each month.
2) Even though we received notice from the IRS that we had more taxes to pay (2004 and 2005 due to employer error), I was able to pay the $1500 due
Sincerely,

Enjoy your tickets, it is always nice to win a freebie like that. Something fun and it doesn't cost you anything (well probably some snack money)
I need to do this because I have been stressing out over the bills again - I had a plan and thanks to our lovely IRS, that plan will be coming in so late it won't matter so reworking the numbers again.
*I can pay all the current bills on my part time salary and the company hasn't said yet that they will not hire me full time!
*No rent or housing payments until fall when my son starts school. Then I will have a 200/month payment to my folks buying the house off them for a whopping 25K (due to it being a 50 mile round trip to the big town - property is realllly cheap here LOL) and I won't need a down payment (land contract). I wanted the IRS money back so I could give them something but I can do zero down and throw the IRS money on my student loan so that is paid off in 2 years. Then pay back my folks like crazy.
*The divorce is settled and I don't have to think about it anymore. The support money is supposed to show up but for now I am letting the professionals at the courthouse handle it (apparently they are actually good at staying on top of it and are known to get a bit testy with deadbeats!!!) since I can pay all the bills.
*We have tons to do right here in WY with only a quick trip to SLC and to Denver to take up all our summer weekends from doing volksmarches (free) to local concerts (Trick Pony for $4 ea) to a free hunting expo and getting to go to the Ft. Bridger Rendevouz and for a total cost of $1 we can go to the historic site my mom works at and tour an old gold mining town (under 18 is free and state residents over that are $1 and people complain!!!!!Why? that is a great deal for a day and you can picnic right there, pan for gold and see history.)
*The car is paid for and does need some routine maintanence but it should be less than 100 unless the 4 rotors need replacement!
