I usually go with a suit and white blouse. Never go without a jacket. Pants may not look so professional. I'm not an expert in interviewing for teachers, but you want to look respectful and that you are taking the interview seriously. Look like you have prepared to come in for the interview, that you care enough to look your best for it in a professional way. First impressions! Try a dress rehearsal...try it all on, you'll find the best look.
Remember, professional clothes are an investment......(when I need an interview outfit, I do go out and get what I need....if I feel great in what I am wearing, then I have that extra mental lift......)
Hi, aerandel. I am impressed with your weight loss! On the suit thing---I agree, I would go with the more "formal" attire, and a looser look of the two suits. If the other is a bit too tight, that would be uncomfortable, especially if you are going to be standing, getting up, sitting, shaking hands, walking, etc. Maybe a pretty necklace, earrings, barrette, etc to draw attention to your facial features. Can you turn back the sleeves on your blouse to "cover" the suit sleeves? I had to laugh (a little)--when I went to a formal event awhile back, I had to wear a girdle (medieval corset?) to hold in my stomach on pants that were a bit too tight. Never MIND that DH said I sounded like Darth Vader when I tried to breathe or eat. Good luck on your interview! Whiz.
