Hi everyone!
I am still around, just that with it being summertime I'm not on as much since the kids are home.

Glad to hear you are doing well. That makes sense to pay off the credit card and get it down to only $1K. You're right, you will have that paid off before you know it.
It sounds like a good trip. Sometimes you need to get away as a family. My DD and I go to Wisconsin (4 hr drive) every summer for a week and split the cabin cost with another family so that our lodging for the week is only about $330 for 7 days. I wouldn't change that for the world. It may not be as exciting as going to the Bahamas or something, but this is our 6th year going (DD is 8) and I know this is a memory she will have for life.

Have you been to Kellogg's before? We took my son there 2 years ago and for the money, it wasn't that fun. Of course we used to go to Hershey and that entire ride/samples is free.
Have you gone to the zoo there around Kalamazoo? That was a lot of fun.
Don't want to get down on Kellogg's but I really regretted going, it was really expensive (21.00 for 3 of us) for a walk through tour and my son really wasn't interested in stopping to read everything.
No we haven't gone before.

Becky,
I don't know if it is feasible given your time restraints, but have you considered heading down toward St. Louis. The zoo here is free admission and so is the science center, my childern love both. My sister and I know of good attractions here(Grants Farm, Magic House, City Museum, Arch)if that becomes an option, just drop me a line.
