Hi,
My cat has the same problem your does -- he has to take 5mg of Tapazole (the anti-thyroid medication) twice a day, and we were looking at $60.00 a month also (which I paid for quite a while). A friend recommended CanadaDrugs.com -- which is where we get his Rx now. Same exact medication, same exact manufacturer, but it costs about $68.00 (which includes shipping) for 400 pills. You get a written Rx for a 90 day supply (with 3 refills) from your vet and Fax it to them. Really saved us $$. Their pharmacists will call your vet if necessary. Check in to it. It really saved us money. (and I don't work for them . . . ) The phone number is 1-800-226-3764.
Good luck.
Megan

Thanks so much for the information. I'm waiting for the vet to call w/result. That will determine if her meds stay the same or has to be increased.

Thanks again.

I'm glad you saw my note. Just for a comparison: the anti thyroid pills cost about .17 cents versus the $1.20 per pill we were paying in the US. (Same pills).
Good luck with the cat.
