Reuseable swiffer cloths!

Okay, I know this is sort of off-topic, but I'm so proud of myself... and I can add "disposable cleaning pads" to my list of "things I refuse to pay for"! LOL
I took an old flannel sheet, which was already partially cut up for a different project, and cut five rectangles the size and shape of a swiffer cloth (I used an actual disposable swiffer cloth as a pattern). Then I did a zig-zag stitch around the edge and -- voila -- washable swiffer cloth!
It works about as well as a disposable pad, but it's not quite as slick, so the Sweep 'n Vac sometimes sticks on the floor, making it a tad more effort to sweep--but not much. And the pad picks up just as well as the disposable sort. And I love that I can toss it in the wash to use another day!
No more money thrown out the window on pads I'm just gonna throw away. Hurray!
:),

Heather, that is really a great find!
