Quick history -
I used to be TERRIBLE with my checking account. I would write out checks our use my debit card two days before payday and of course they would clear and I would not have enough money to cover so I would get charged about $70 for NSF fees. ALOT. Its been 8 months since I've gone negative.
Anyway, last week I lost my wallet (sigh) and EVERYTHING in it. My debit card, checks, check book. So I put a stop on the checks and it cost me $33 insted of the $20 they quoted me and I went into the negative twice to the tune of $79 in NSF fees. I called the bank and explained that although my being close in my account was not their problem, nor losing my wallet their problem, I've maintained a good track record for 8 months and due to the circumstances of me trying to recreate my account and get new debit card, checks, etc., could they please work with me and refund the $79. The lady on the phone said she couldn't guarantee but she would put in the request and I would know in a few days. In 4 hours the money was back in my account!! Happy Day!! I need that $79 because a new license is $90!!!
