Hi. Last Friday my DH and I went to look at a new motorcycle for me. Oh it was beautriful. Tried it and loved it. They did my credit check and came back great and ok'd the loan. They where in doing the paper work and I was outside admiring my new motorcycle. Then the salesman came out and said that they had made a mistake and the payment would be 40.00 more then we had talked about. I thought about it a minute and said this must be a sign and I told him to rip up the papers and forget it. He says but it is only 40 more a month. To me that is a big deal. Came back home and washed and waxed my old motorcyle (by the way it is so shiney and beautiful now) and thought there is nothing wrong with this one and I worked so hard 5 years ago to pay of that loan. I am feeling good today that I am not more in debt then I was last Friday.

Hi, over40--congrats on turning away temptation--even with that beautiful shiny new motorcycle staring at you. That took courage to tear up that loan ap.! You are free with no obligations to another loan, etc. So, go have fun on your "old" bike! BTW--are you thinking about having a fund for a new one down the road? Hugs, WHiz.

Hello,

Congratulations on walking away from "new motorcycle fever"! Doesn't it feel good knowing that you won't have that "extra payment" and your current "paid for" bike feels so good to ride knowing there's no payment attached!

Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke

We had the same thing last Monday. I phoned the bank to see if i could redo my loan so I could get a moped for DS so he could have his own transport. They said yes but the interest rate would be 8% higher on the redone loan. I was so shocked that I told the guy no way was I going to havea loan with a higher rate. It would have been £100 more a month instead of the £30-£40 I had anticipated. We both agreed it was a bad move and have decided to wait a while longer.
Good for you for not getting the new bike
Love

yes it does feel good knowing that my bike is paid for. I was just about in tears thinking about selling it. (how stupid is that). I looked for this bike I have now for 2 summers. We went out riding on Farthers day and where able to stop to get DH his fav orite Rubeon sandwich. With the new bike loan it would have been so tight. My sil was upset that I ddin't get new one. Knowing that I didn't add to my debt number is a GOOD thing. I paid the little bit of moey to get my FICA score. I haven't checked it in a few months. I was thrilled to see it had gone up 16 points. It is now up to 770

Hello,

Why was your sister in law upset that you didn't get a new motorcyle? How would the new one have benefited her?

Sincerely,
Lindsey Schocke

Her thought was you work hard and take good care of my brother and that my bike is an 85 that it would of be nice if I could of had the new one. But with some wax and elbow grease it looks like a 2006.
