Is the program returnable? Even with a restocking fee getting rid of it would be better than keeping it. Tell DH once his credit is cleaned up if he still wants it you will be totally supportive but until you guys get things cleaned up it won't do any good and it will be outdated by the time you are ready....
Plus DH life isn't that bad. I would never let my dh have a motorcycle.....
First off, I send you my sympathy for your sleeplessness. I, too, have insomniac tendencies, especially when worried. I woke up myself at 4am not able to go back to sleep. Got the paper read and the floor washed. Hopefully by now, 'round noontime, you have had a nap.
I hear ya about the ill-advised entrepreneurial experiments. My ex-husband lost our life savings trying to start his own business--TWICE!!!!!! Plus he kept getting fired or he quit over not getting promoted. But the guy is so charming he kept getting hired into new jobs at the same or higher level. Then, management found out he was all talk and no walk--lol. Now, somehow he's got a great job with great money. Hoo well, that's another story, another board...
From what I hear, Discovery Toys is a great way boost income for a SAHM. It's a very well-respected product. Do they do parties like Tupperware? I know I've seen DT at craft fair booths, etc. I bought their products when my kids were little. Can you increase your exposure/sales some way?
Maybe this experience has taught your husband that the only people these "get rich quick" schemes make rich are the ones who sell it. Hopefully he'll know to investigate more in future.
Here's to a good night's sleep for the both of us tonight! Cupcake
I saw your message to mine in the weekly accountability, an dyou do have to love them even when they are doing crazy things!
In regards to the brother, I don't what kind of pride he can have as a man welshing off of a bunch of women. I would mention that one out to your husband if he says he brother has an easy life. One day he won't be so cute or so young, or so good looking to be able to welsh off of women.
Hi, Aravis---Well, DH isnt gullable, it's usually me (in the past, etc.). It must be the male gene thing. Maybe he could look at Money mag and the trends of real estate---it's downward, girlfriend, in all markets. I honestly dont know how people make $$$ in real estate--either they mortgage themselves to the limit with ARM's and get people to live in the apts, condos, or whatever. Really, does your DH want to be an absentee landlord and/or put all that "sweat equity" into painting, fixing, tearing down, etc., or were a painter/plummer/electrician by trade. l) Is there a money back guarantee? Be careful on this, because you can get burned with those realty things, and they will try to keep debiting your account each month for "chapter 2, second verse, same song and dance" stuff. BTDT. 2) It seems everybody and his brother and second cousin wants to be a real estate agent and it's hard work. I dont see anyone giving up their "day" job yet. Best of luck. WHiz.
I hope you're able to catch some Zzzzz's.
Taleyna, good morning.
