Being Thankful.....

I know with soaring gas prices, crappy economy, and everything seeming like it is costing more it does seem hopeless at times.

I just want be thankful for the fact that I can pay for a roof over my head, food in my tummy, and good ole electricity. Alot of people can not even do that. I heard on the radio the other day that 1 in 6 families do not know whether they will be able to make their house payment in the next 6 months. I saw on the news how one police officers job was to give people foreclosure

What a great post. It is so easy to get caught up in the "I don't have this" or "I cant's do that" and forget all that we have been blessed to have.

I am grateful that my husband and children are healthy. We spent yesterday at the park (DH beat me in enthrall several times -- my skills in that game haven't improved since elementary school) and walking around what will be our new neighborhood in a couple of months. It was gorgeous outside and fun to see the kids have fun and enjoy the freedom that comes with childhood.

I am thankful for the home we have and the home we will have.

I am blessed to have a great family and wonderful friends.

I love my job and am very happy to be doing something I enjoy.

I'm grateful I'm able to pay down on my debt more each month. I promise to have patience when increased gas, food and ebergy costs cuts back on my progress, and not use it as an excuse to break out the credit card.

Finally, I am thankful for this board. The support, advice, encouragement and understanding helps me see the light at the end of the tunnel.

In my sunday school class yesterday, we were studying the struggles of Joseph and the group leader asked us to discuss what was a major struggle in our life.

I am grateful that I can pay the bills every month. The stress that came with not being able to make ends meet was terrible and led to a lot of other problems. That, in itself, is great.

Of course, my family is all that I really need. I am grateful that they are such wonderful, caring people. With two teens, my life could be full of angst, but it isn't at all.

No matter how bad things get, I never stop being thankful for what I have.

I am thankful my elderly mother is still with us, every day is a blessing for her.

I am thankful for my darling husband and our 17 year marriage.

I am thankful for my two sweet little kitty cats who bring us much joy and laughter.

I am thankful that my husband lost his job at a time of year when money would be coming in to offset the loss of income.

I am thankful that I had a chance to put in my vegetable garden this year. Last year I was so busy with my mother I never had time to do it (though I did grow a gorgous sunflower patch instead, since they all came up as volunteers from seed).

I am thankful that at least for this month, we have
