1. I will not buy much I have a few things that are really to big that I need to replace like two jacket but I am going to try to make it through the summer with them.
2 Sold all the collections years ago when we moved into a smaller house I don't collect anything any more There is really no place to put the things.
3 We supported my mother for 14 years and it never bothered me a minute doing it. She was part of our family and I would give anything debt or no debt to have her back. Yes it is hard to live with someone that is ill sometimes.
1. Are you buying new summer clothes or are you going to wear what you already have? If you do need new summer clothes, are they for home or for going to work? What kind of outfits do you usually wear in the summer at home and at work? If you are buying new summer clothes, where will you be buying them? ~ I work a LOT, and I did buy quite a number of new things this year because I could afford to, though of course I could have just been sensible and saved it. ;) Next spring & summer I will need very little.
2. Do you have collections (as a hobby) that you are considering selling? Why would you be sellling your collection? Did you amass your collection using credit cards or loans? ~ I've never been a collector. I don't like "stuff" other than clothes. I grew up in a house with a lot of "stuff" and I was responsible for dusting it all every Saturday, so I will happily live without any collections!
3. Are you supporting any family and freinds while you are currently dealing with your debt? Are they capable of taking care of themselves and finding a job? Has this been a recent development, or have you been supporting them for a long time? Have you had to make lifestyle changes to support them or is your debt a result of supporting them? How do you feel about supporting them really? ~ Other than my 3 kids and DH, I don't support anyone. My siblings and I were all expected to be independent after college, even though my parents would help out from time to time. And my parents and ILs were prudent and took care of themselves with pensions, savings, and insurance, so DH and I don't have to take care of them financially. As for friends, I would never financially support a friend who was capable of earning her own way.
