To answer your question about your DH getting another mortgage....your credit won't affect his ability to get another mortgage or any other loan for that matter unless you are attempting to get the loan jointly. As long as he is getting it by himself using only his income they will not even look at your credit report. When my DH and I bought the house we had prior to the one we are in now my credit was pretty bad and I wasn't making much income so he got the loan by himself and never had to provide any of my info to the bank. HTH.

It is nice to say that your credit doesn't matter in buying a house. I guess if you don't want to own any part of the house it will not But I will tell you girlfriend. I would get my credit fixed because if anything happens God forbid to him that house will not belong to you either.

You want your name on that house You want for a lot of reasons to have your name along with your husbands on any house he buys or sells.

You can do it get your credit cleaned up and when the next house is bought that he wants to flip be there beside him on the mortgage and the deed.

It sounds like you have reviewed your credit reports and have seen the accounts listed as charged off.

Since you asked how you can repair the mess, I would work toward paying off your debts vs. letting them go.

"You can ignore the debts and let them fall off your credit history in another 5 years or try to pay them off by working with the 3rd party debt collector.
