It's really hard to continually s-t-r-e-t-c-h my already slim grocery budget as it is, but now it's a real challenge.

I stopped by the grocery store today specifically for produce.

Do you have a yard? You could grow some stuff yourself. I have a couple of little planters on my deck with spinach, lettuce and chard...it's slow but it helps. I am happy to share more ideas with you if you like.

I was born, bred and raised in the big city, and have only entered the world of gardening for the last 3 years. If I could do it, anyone can.
