Kellie, that's great news.

I guess the lack of debt will really sink in a few months when you have not been receiving the bill(s) each month.

Seeing people like yourself achieve debt free status reminds me that I can pay off my debt.

Good job girlfriend

With no bills in the mail What do you get in the mail anyway? tee hee.

I am so happy for you. I really am. I don't think I will see the day when I can say those words. For me I would just like to get down to one bill then I would be a happy camper.

Good job again.

Hugs

Congratulations Kellie! I have a loonngg way to go before I can say those words, but posts like yours give me hope that someday I'll get there, too! I appreciate those who have entered debt-free status sticking around and offering support and encouragement, so I hope to see you continue to post!

Congradulations!!!! That must feel great! I am so looking forward to having all of my debt paid off. If you don't mind me asking how much debt did you have?

I don't have any facts or figures from last year but in JAN I started with about $28,000.

Great work Kellie! I agree that it's no fun the way you got the money with DH's deployment and I continue to keep good thoughts for his safety. Wow, though! You've done a great job being disciplined and putting that money where it will really make a difference in the long run.

Maybe you aren't quite ready to hear this but I think that I will be on this board forever. Once the debt is paid off, there are major savings goals to be achieved and it's really all the same skills and lifestyle issues. Well, and I do have a mortgage so even if the student loan vanished today, I'd still be here a long, long time!

Enjoy the freedom of beginning to spend for your goals and not for the past!
