A while ago I had written something about "Are you paying back your debt with a teaspoon or a backhoe?"

I'm new here. I liked this question, so I decided to post my reply. Right now, to me our debt seems like a very large swimming pool, and I feel like I'm filling it with a teaspoon. However, it isn't feeling too overwhelming at this point, as I am working on figuring things out in order to fill the pool faster. As of July 1st, DH and I are going to start tracking our expenses so that we can create a manageable budget based on actual figures. I am currently in the process of absorbing as much info as I can on how to pay off the debt as efficiently as possible. We just had our first baby two weeks ago, and we currently own a mobile home, but want to add to the family in a few more years, as well as get a bigger house and save for retirement and our children's education. I love learning about this financial stuff, so I've been doing a lot of research since I've been off work on maternity leave. Knowledge is power right?!!
