Little Bits Add Up!

I just signed up for this new thing through my bank. It's called Keep the Change. Every transaction that goes on my debit card is rounded up to the next dollar. The difference is then automatically transferred to my savings account. For the first 3 months, the bank matches 100% of the "change" going into savings. After the 3 months is up, the bank matches 5% a year, which is credited to my savings once a year. Cool, huh? Every time I use the card I'm dumping a little bit into savings.

Just be careful of the balance in your check book. Make sure you always care at least 20.00 or so extra in your checking account Good way to get a bunch of Overdraft charges with this program..

If you do 2 debit transactions a day for a year, you'll get about $17.50 a year extra.
My H & I have always done this on our own w/ our checking account (married 24 years now).
