Hey Cindylee! We are home for the 4th. Sounds like we have dinner plans for a change, so no bbq on the 4th. However, DH rarely stays away from the grill for too long, so I'm sure we'll bbq on Sat and Sun!

I hope to make a couple of messenger bags for gifts this weekend. Hopefully the house stays cool enough!

Happy 4th everyone!

All my best,

Hamburgers, smoked sausage, side dishes, and homeade ice cream. Chips and dip for snacking. Hopefully we didn't get any contaminated meat, and we didn't get tomatos.

Normally my Dad would have grilled, but since he passed, I guess I am in for a grilling 101.

We are staying home. My parents are driving over from NYC. My mom is bringing some lasagna. We have some meats to barbeque on the grill. We bought the kids one of those inflatable pools. Good size 15 by 36. So we will be putting that together for them. I didn't want to commit with inviting some neighbors/friends over. It gets too expensive.

Saturday, the 5th is our 11th wedding anniversary. We will be staying home. We have paint leftover for when we painted the 1st floor. So my husband wants to start on the second floor. Builder use that flat white paint. So glad it's gone on the first floor. My parents bought us a beautiful ceiling fan for the family room. It's the main room we use in the house, it's connected to the kitchen. It has dimmer and remote control. I'm sure they paid a pretty good penny. I'm so grateful for it. Because we had just the light bulb hanging from the ceiling that the builder put up. You think that at least they would have put up a fixture.

Hope everyone has a safe one.

Happy 4th to one and all.

They have been doing fireworks for the last few days around here. Dogs are scared to death. Tomorrow I plan to go out and look for a lamp shade for one of my lamps.

Maybe get a steak out of the freezer and baked potatoe for dinner. Nothing big around here.

Love and Hugs to all

Our town's fireworks were last night, and it was a bigger and longer show than in past years.

The kids are out of town so it's just DH, me and our terrified-of-fireworks dogs.

Our kids are out of town also, so we ran around a looked at a few stores (close by),

then we did steaks on the grill and corn.
