Like beepsmom's previous post, I too am hiding debt from my husband, and I have decided to come clean tomorrow night. Any support would be much appreciated as I have NEVER been this afraid and ashamed in my entire life. Thank you, beepsmom, for your post and getting the ball rolling. I know I will feel better once the dirty laundry is out. But these last few days, well, it has been hard just to function and I have found it hard to go on... not eating, not sleeping, constant tears, suicidal thoughts. I would really appreciate any prayers and positive thoughts.

My thoughts are with you! I can't imagine how nervous you have to be right now.

I just posted this on the Love & Money board, but I just came clean this morning to my boyfriend (soon fiance) about my CC debt and I felt EVERYTHING you were feeling... I was so ashamed (and can't say the ashamed feelings are gone yet) and hid it for months. His reaction was at first shock... then anger/frustration/"how could you do this to us?"... and then "Let's fix this".

He's been in the "Let's fix this" mode ever since and getting out his anger at first was good. I feel ashamed because I pride myself on being a responsible, successful person. But I guess no one can be perfect in every aspect of her life.

I wish you luck, DietCokeGirl! Coming up with whatever solution you figure out will make you automatically feel better. The emotions will take a while to go away, I think.

Let us know what happened!

By the time you read my post, you probably told your husband already.

Good luck.

If you told him, i hope it went well.

How did it go? I am thinking of you and wishing you the best! I replied on my post asking about you but don't know if you saw it or not.

How is your dh? How did he react? I give you a LOT of credit for speaking up about it. The reason my DH found out was because he went to buy something online and the card got declined. He called the card and heard the balance. I'm ashamed to say when he called me and thought we had been victims of identiy theft (not imagining I would have racked up that debt) I almost didn't deny it. But, I'm glad I did tell him the truth and I know you will be glad too once your dh's initial shock and anger is gone.

P.S. I LOVE diet coke too. LOL. can we be addicts together? Hope you are doing well today. Xoxo
