This is going to be long WARNING,

I see no other choice but to cut back on the snowflaking and it get down to a resonable amount a month. I just wanted the bills and payments to go down so bad. I think I have gotten caught up in it so much I am dragging my self down faster then the amount of bills are going down.

Hi, Mary Ann. Read your post and indeed it does get frustrating when U get older and have to stretch every penny. Other ways that might help, for consideration:

I am not old enough now I am only 60 will not be 61 until August. I still got 6 or 7 years before I can even get half of his as a retirement then they take that amount from his check I think So instead of one check you get 2 checks but added

OK, you are not old enough now, but you could get a reduced benefit at 62 -- to get the full 1/2 of his check you would have to be at full retirement age. BUT, YOU ARE WRONG ABOUT HIS CHECK BEING REDUCED. HE WILL CONTINUE TO GET HIS FULL AMOUNT AND YOU WILL GET AN ADDITIONAL AMOUNT. When you are 62, you can receive an amount = to 35%of his total social security check per month. And, his check is not reduced. This is extra money for you.
If you wait until your full retirement age, you will recieve a check = to 1/2 his check.

You need to have correct information. So, you could start receiving extra money in 2 years.

Thank for all your postings and support I was really feeling very depressed, mad and a few other feelings last night when I posted. Thanks for understanding. I guess I could say it was that time of the month tee hee but that hasn't come around in about 20 years.

I wrote it all out and gave it to Raymond tonight. Even showed him where all the bones are buried. He said after looking at it all that he thought I did a pretty good job keeping it together and getting the bills down. That was nice. But he also said that we or me needs to let up a little and just do the best I can instead of going over board with it all.

I totally agree with you about the high school thing. Teaching Kids about money would be a great thing to do There is this one woman that has developed a program for kids I can not remember her name and they are trying to get it into school but the reaction is about the same as it was a few years back about Sex education Not a very good one.

But if all the

I've never used the algebra or trigonometry I was forced to take in high school, but if I had been taught Personal Money Management I would be using it every day!
