Hi Robyn,

I don't think I'll be much help here. I love getting coupons like that! Is Kohl's near enough to you that you could go in one day, leaving the coupon and cash at home, just to look? If you find a great Christmas gift idea, go home and think about it. Then if you still really want it, go back after a couple of days with your coupon and cash and buy it knowing you took your time to think it over AND got a great deal with your coupon.

I have gotten much much better with my shopping habits. I don't even go into stores like I used to, everything is planned out--I don't just shop because I'm bored or on a whim. But I could STILL do so much better! It's always a progression, isn't it?

Good luck, and if you really don't want to go shopping at Kohl's, then don't!! But if you do go shopping, you know you'll be wise ;)

I hear you! I have white knuckled it this year with coupons to my faves. And I would write about it in the Monday Accountability.

Now I'm immune to the coupon, because just a Danni said, another coupon will be sent my way very shortly. They get sent out regularly. I've noticed deep sales happening right now, I guess the marketers need us shopping rather than summering.

I told myself this very weekend, to skip the sales, that I don't need anything, and just let my money build instead.

The satisfaction I have felt this past year, of being able to recognize that no, I don't want to live with debt, therefor I'm not going to the department store, has been very healthy for me and those around me.

I hope you feel better Robyn, take care.

Don't give in! Stay away! This is exactly the reason that stores offer coupons .

Personally, I feel the prices at Kohls in the past two years have been SO inflated. I know the cost of things have gone up but I went there to "browse" a while back and found a child's t-shirt to be $22 !!!! With all the markdowns being offered the shirt came to $9 but still. I was shocked. I can hit Walmart and get my child three plain t-shirts for $9. I don't know. I am a Kohls fan but just recently shredded and cancelled that card. I am finding more great deals other places. Those coupons are a dime a dozen. Pitch it.
