I'm down to less than a month before school starts up again and I need to start thinking about getting new work clothes.

The big annual online clearance is happening now at landsend.com (no, I don't work for them...) and you can get some great deals...if you have an online account and are logged in when you make selections, it will save them for ever until you buy or delete things. This way you can contemplate stuff for days or weeks (or until it goes out of stock) and you don't have to look for a parking spot. I still do better at the thrift store though, but do really well for the brand new stuff this way. Just a thought. It is still a temptation to battle for me though.
They don't sell your info if you open a free online account.
Hi, Elli!
I totally understand this feeling. I hate to admit that I am the same way. I hate shopping for clothes. I teach high school, and I'm active. My back to school shopping has been 4 thick t-shirts from Eddie Bauer, and the only reason I bought those was because last season's clothes were high-shirts/low pants. I don't want to be exposed writing notes on the board. I have used the same pants for a couple years, and I wear the same pairs of Merrils--they look like hikers--because my room temp goes 40-90 faster than my car. My excuse for the business-casual-hiking-layering-look is that I'm saving the environment by not overbuying. I'm neat, but I come out and joke about my fashion in the beginning so I don't have any standards to meet. I may replace my brown walking Merrils this year because the dog took a chomp out of one when she was a puppy. So, my back to school shopping to date has been $40. And I'm repurposing clothes, too:)
Don't feel bad--even if you skip your shopping, you'll have more fashion than me!
Have a great year!
Dawn
Thanks, Dawn!
I love the list idea too! My life revolves around lists. I think I will try that the next time I go clothes shopping because I usually come home with something I don't need!
Another great place to find great inexpensive clothes is at garage sales.
Ebay is another option.
