I know it seems silly to ask with the way prices are at the store and the pump, but do you buy organic regardless of how the economy is doing?

There are some things that I like to buy organic, but I can go non-organic, too.

Some yogurts, milk, and creamer, as well as some frozen foods. That's about it.

Just curious if there are any die-hard organic consumers that have had to switch back to the "other" side. =)

I'm also trying to buy in season, ie, whatever is on special except for tomatoes, which I must have. I also have started buying cage-free eggs.

I buy the organic milk and all natural, hormone free chicken (which is the bulk of the meat we eat), and I have started getting the all-natural hormone, nitrate

Where we live the area is more rural. We dont have a whole foods around here, but you can find many organic products at the stores here. I do buy organic dairy products. I have been growing my own vegetable in our garden this summer with the kids! Its cheap and the kids are getting a kick out of picking tomatoes and peppers!

A local university has an organic farm and a colleague and I signed up to split a box of organic fruits and vegetables.
