Not sure where to start!

Hi, I am embarrassed to even share the amount of debt I am in! Most of it is credit cards. I have tried lowering the interest rates and not one of the companies I called was of any help. I can't even apply for credit cards with lower interest rates because I get refused which makes my credit score go down.
I have been paying down the cards but not fast enough! I don't sleep worrying. My husband and I make quite a good income but we sure have made a mess of where our income goes now - practically all credit cards! We'd be living a wonderful life, even if

Thank you so much for all the input. So far, I made the list of everything we owe on our credit cards, the interest on each (which is pretty much the same- HIGH!) and made a list of our household bills. The total is scary.
I then found out I had room on one of my cards that was offering a 0% balance transfer and I had enough room to pay off a high interest card, so that's one bill down.
It seems every time I look around another bill is popping up from someone I don't expect, like this month I have to pay the flood insurance for almost $900 for the year ahead.
Most of the credit card debt is in my husband's name and I can't get a handle on how to help. My income covers all the household bills, mortgage, gas, food, electricity, phone, etc.
Full name is Consumer Credit Counseling Service if it helps your search.
Hey Poodles - a strong word of caution about balance transfers - those offers are only a good thing if the card has a zero balance.
All my best,
Danni
Oh My gosh! I just read all this and now I am sick to my stomach. Last night I moved $7000 over to a card that offered the 0%. That card already had $24,000 on it. Now what should I do? Do I move it back? I had no idea that the payments would go toward the 0% portion only. They also charged me $100 to move the money over.
I doubt whether I can apply and get approved for another card at this time. I saw the 0% offer and jumped on it. From now on I won't make a move unless I check with you guys first.
Please help!
Thank you so much!!!!!! They cancelled it!! If there is ANY sense of humor in this, the man asked me why am I cancelling the balance transfer.
Glad to hear it LMPs!
They're so sneaky - it's awful.
All my best,
Danni
