Weekend triumph!

So, I had planned to spend $30 max on my Friday night outing. My plans changed yet again before I got home, and yes I did go out, but I went out with DF and some other friends to celebrate a friend's b'day.

I only spent $13! So, this morning, I treated myself to a latte at Starbuck's as part of that $30. That brings me to having spent $18. It feels fantastic to stay within the limits and as well as I did.

WOOHOO!!

I also rolled some more coins yesterday, and I'm up to $30.50. I haven't decided if I'm going to use that as grocery money, funny money, or snowflaking. I should probably snowflake.

Great job Prada!

What about splitting the money and using 1/3 as a reward for doing so well and 2/3 for debt? Even if you use just $10 as a reward, thats 2 starbucks!

I round up my purchases and throw my change in a jar. At the end of the week (I pay myself $100 weekly for food and entertainment) if there is any left it goes in the jar. I usually split it up and put half toward debt and keep half for things that I want/ need!

That's a great idea! Thx, Bex! =)

I am actually not that much of an SB addict anymore. Since I buy a lot of the interesting flavored coffees at the Fresh Market, I have been really good at brewing at home and bringing with me to work. Also, the rising prices at SB have got me thinking twice before I stop by there.

I also got $300 from my parents for my b'day tomorrow so I'm getting a new bookcase and searching for a good deal on a chest of drawers or dresser for my bedroom with the remaining cash.

Way to break the habit! Lol happily I don't drink coffee so I've never had a problem with it. My problem is stuff for my house. I bought the house last year and since then have been wanting to buy everything for it (which is part of the reason I am here, lol)

Happy Birthday! I think its a great idea to buy furniture. It always comes in handy!

Thanks!

I understand. I bought my condo 2 2/2 years ago and spent a bunch on accessorizing it over the last couple of years. However, I'm so picky and specific to what I'm looking for that it has taken me this long to finish my shopping goals with it. The last 2 pieces of furniture I needed were the bookcase and dresser/chest. I still have a few odds and ends projects that I'd like to complete like replacing all the socket plates, but I'm good for now. And my dream would be to get my closet renovated like a California closet to maximize my space.

I'm almost ready to have my housewarming party! LOL

What a great weekend triumph. I am not a huge SB fan either but my fav drink would have to be a white chocolate mocha frapp. YUM.
