This is going to sound SO dumb but this is my "vice."

The Large diet coke from McDonald's. It's only $1 and after tax it comes out to $1.08. I LOVE the taste of the fountain drink taste. Sometimes I will stop for two a day - that's $2 a day. I know its not MUCH but I just can't stop it. It's only a summer thing with the cokes being $1 so in the winter I won't be doing this.

I do buy cans of diet coke but its no the same..................

Mt Dew. I LOVE Mt Dew in the cans only. So, I buy it. I only drink one can a day, but still.. I've tried to cut it out of my life and you know what? It makes me a miserable grouch. Pretty much everything else in my life I can cut if I need to cut it. But, please... DO NOT TAKE MY MT DEW! I know it's ridiculous to spend $5 for a 12 pack but....

Aw. Crap. There's another one. LOL. We do have satellite and we do have all the channels AND a HD DVR. I love my satellite though. I'd cut it if I HAD to, but....

Cable internet is another. I HATE dial up (and really.. to have dial up installed in my house would cost me more than cable does).

There has got to be a study about diet soda and how hard it is to cut out.

Hey Brandee - I think the key here is that you're buying the 12-pacs and not spending money on a per-can basis through a vending machine.

Wow a buck for the large is cheap~not trying to encourage your behavior in any way here. :) But I too have the diet coke fountain drink addiction so I understand.

I'd have to say it's two things for me: 1) coffee and donut at work and 2) gifts. I just bought a Sunbeam Hot Shot for $15 and a box of individual cup coffee bags. Instead of spending $1 on coffee from the cafeteria, I make my own at my desk (three days in a row now!) and skip the donut. So I think that problem is solved. However, I still like to buy little gifts for my daughter and my friends. They aren't for any particular reason like a birthday. I just see something I think someone needs or would like and I buy it!
