hey everyone! i havent posted in a long time but i just wanted to vent. im in the wheaton/naperville area of chicago and gas prices FINALLY got under $4 a gallon, but its still about $3.79..still a lot.
i started shopping at aldi and found that i enjoy a lot of their stuff, so i will be going back there soon!
i was at dominicks grocery store and a bag of baby greens, ONE BAG! was like $4.79...i ended up just getting the huge container of organic for about $5.99....that actually got me 5 days of lunch and dinner salads. im big on healthy eating but its just so hard to do. everything is so expensive!
my tire blew so my boyfriend took it in for me and its going to cost me about $105 bucks....my birthday is august 15th and i was going to give myself $100 for a massage and a facial. i guess my car ate that up for me! major bummer....ugh! will it ever end??
im sure you all have the same problem too! just venting....thanks guys.

Go ahead and vent.
Here is my vent. I got my electric bill yesterday and it was a whoppy $71 for my itsy, bitsy apartment. I was figuring $50. I know that it is all ac, I have mine turn down rather low (68o F), otherwise I get headaches/migraines. I love summer in Nebraska. I know it 6 monthes I be venting about winter in Nebraska. I love Nebraska, the weather is always there for you to complain about. ;)

Vent away, Stephanie.
I, too, am irked about the big rise in food costs and gas.
All my best,
Danni
Hi Stephanie,
I am in the Joliet area! And my b-day is tomorrow - the 12th! Small world.
I have been shopping at Aldi for a while now. They do have good quality food and cheaper prices. I also do my shopping at our superwalmart and even though I buy most everything generic or on sale it STILL adds up. Even at generic prices the cost of food is crazy. I feel your pain.
I told my DH this year no gifts for my b-day.
