Talk me down from the edge!

Well, I've had a crappy day. Bf and I broke up this morning and even though we weren't together long, it still hurts. Anyways, my first reaction is to go and buy junk food and chocolate and just hibernate, but I have so much to do. I'm just worried that if I go out to do the stuff that I need to do I will overspend. Someone please tell me its just my hurt feelings and I don't need to fill the void with "stuff".

What a great thing to happen just before my birthday :(

I agree with Heather, make today an off day. You can always restart tomorrow or Monday.

I feel for you. But there is always another fish or man in the sea. It is ashame you don't live in Florida I could fix you up with my son. He is out there looking.

Maybe this will make you feel a little better.

Hey Bex,

I'm sorry to hear about your break-up, but you seem like a great person so I am sure you'll meet a great guy when you least expect it. I broke up with my fiancé in April after two years, and of course it hurt but looking back it was the absolute best decision I made...so take a moment to let it all out, then pick yourself up and start living your life according to your own pace. The best is yet to come :)

Thank you so much ladies for your kind words. I spent the entire day feeling sorry for myself yesterday. It was much needed. I realized I have some great friends who called several times to see how I was, and some who threatened to "drag my feeling-sorry-for-itself-butt" out last night, lol. Regardless, I am feeling a little better today.

I decided to split the difference on my birthday money. I bought a new charger for my cell phone (required . . . Kita ate mine yesterday, sigh) and an ipod (I broke my last one). I was able to pay cash and still put $120 on the CC's.

I am busy updating my workout list now so I can get some great new songs and get motivated to get back to the gym. I think just sweating it out will help.

In the meantime I just have to heal the ego, and we'll be good to go!

Thanks again for the happy thoughts ladies. I really appreciate it!

That stinks!

I agree with the others. Chocolate is exactly what the dr. ordered. And a glass of red wine to go with it sounds good to me!
