Hey everyone!

So this month my bf and I have finally gotten ourselves in a better place financially, so we were able to start paying down some of our credit card debt and pretty much stop using the credit cards.

Sorry for butting in, but I don't think it's wrong at all to bug your BF to marry you. You've been together for 9 years, right? That's a long time for him not to propose, IMO.
There's never a perfect time in life to do many things. You don't have to be debt free to get married. He should propose after all these years, does he ever say anything about it?

Yes, I agree it's best to make sure he's ready. I married my high school sweetheart at 22 and we were divorced at 35. You are still young, but he can't keep stringing you along, IMO.
Also, you could always get married without much money and do the big wedding stuff later...the type of wedding doesn't matter, as long as there is a commitment.

Good luck
