Technically I get paid again on Friday August 29, but usually since I have direct deposit, my money ends up in my account on Thursday evening.

If you have lunch and gas for the week, and your other bills are paid, it kind of sounds to me like you have things covered. Boring that you can't impulse shop anywhere, but oh well...I think you have a nice yard, right? and you could read a book.

Was there something specific you were looking for ideas about, or just encouragement?

I am sure you can do this!! Good luck and say if you are looking for specific ideas.

You can do it! If you have the essentials paid for then you really don't NEED anything. Its just going to be temptation!

This happened to me once, only I didn't have the essentials covered, lol. I just returned all the old beer and wine bottles in the garage and got $22.00! Now, before you go thinking I am an alcoholic, whenever friends come over, its BYOB, and they leave the empties here.

You need a change jar in the house. When you get short that is where you go for the extra money a Change jar can or a quart jar can hold between 15.00 to 20.00 if it is full.

What we have been doing Raymond get 100.00 a month for spending money. If anything is left out of that 100.00 on pay day of the next month we put it in the drawer. And that is our get away fund it is also cash to borrow if we have to until payday.

We used to have around 200.00 in the drawer but we borrowed out of it there a lot a couple of months ago We got all

You mentioned 1.24, then 11.24. Anyway, does your bank let you do a direct deposit advance? That helps us when things are tight. It will cost you, but at least you won't be using a card.
Do you have a joint checking account with your BF? Does he have any money to help you out with this week?

YOU CAN DO IT!!!

You aren't in the hole and as long as you can get to and from school and work and you have food in your pantry (be it only a can of soup for supper) it can be done!!!

It's hard to live without c/c's and the true test is weeks like you are having - tight money weeks. I have been credit card free (don't hear me wrong - I have the debt but have not used the cards) for about 6 months or more. It feels great to know that although we might have a tight MONEY week it is money we have - not money we are borrowing. You can do it too.

Good luck and get creative with what you have at home.

Sounds to me like boredom and maybe a bit of panic over whether you will be able to do this will be your biggest obstacles. I would suggest leaving your plastic cards at home and finding something else to do on your way home from work. Take your runners and go for a walk in a park on the way home or something else just so you have something to do instead of shop, if that is what you tend to do. Or go home and kick back on your deck with a book, or dig in your garden. You can do this!
