I nipped this in the bud just recently but what about co-worker gifts?

Kid's b-day gifts? Baby showers?

You don't have kids, do you Bex? If you do (for others perhaps) school clothes / supplies / teachers gifts?

Shoot I never even thought about co workers. You're right. They are always coming around with cards for this or that.

And no, I don't have children (unless you count the cat and dog, lol). So I guess from that perspective I'm okay! All I have to worry about is myself!!!

De-lurking to say...

Car registration

Seasonal clothing expenses

Anything that renews on an annual basis and has a fee associated with that renewal!

Cellphone/other small appliances - I'm one of those people who feels they must have a cellphone but got into a vicious cycle of using consumer credit to purchase the handset and not saving before I needed a new one.

Hair cuts

Unanticipated travel, that kills me because I live on the west coast and need to go by ferry, which is expensive

Rental damage deposit--you have to come up with the new one before the current landlord has to give you the current one back. That's always several hundred dollars.

Hair Salon visits - although I only go every 3-4 months, some with short hair may have to go more frequently.

FHPs - feminine hygiene products. Ok, I said it. You might factor this in with your grocery bill, but unfortunately, it's a must have that men don't have. UGH. And it's not cheap, either!

We just started a weekly budget & it has been amazing at how many little things have come up, $22.00 annual newspaper subscription, Spirit of Women $40 girls night out (not need but a want), Itunes $5.20 (not a need but a want), car wash $9.00...We do operate with some cash each week...but most of these things required debit withdrawal or a check.
